Jess has started multiple businesses, is a mamma of three and empowers women to find balance in their lives. She didn’t know that this is how her life was going to go.  She envisioned herself having a career in advertising, and out of college, she found herself, working at the high profile ad firm she’d always thought about. And also in a recession…  She changed gears as the company she worked for was feeling pain from the recession, and she started a Public Relations firm with a partner.

She learned two things:

1. She hated PR
2. She loved entrepreneurship and business

This is the first time I talk about my experience with therapy as well, and I really can’t recommend it enough! I knew there was something holding me back.  I knew there was something more I needed to do, but I didn’t know what that looked like. Therapy really helped me get to understand what my deeply rooted ‘Why’ really is.  The work that I am doing now by way of Imperfectly Ambitious is rooted in the fact that I want my kids to see me for who I really am. I want them to see that I have been given gifts, but it is up to me to put them to work.  Therapy has been a step on my journey in helping me realize what it is that I need to be doing.
